Today, it is possible to look back at the various changes in the shapes of the fiasco, visiting a place that emblematically represents its long history. In a 14th century Medici tower in Montelupo Fiorentino, Giovanni Bartolozzi gathered some authentic historical pieces, together with faithful reconstructions based on original drawings, in a remarkable collection.

By comparing these often unique pieces, you can rebuild your own evolution: from the first 14th and 15th century fiaschi, of which there is evidence in paintings and frescoes, to those of the 1600s and 1700s with an elongated neck, up to the 19th cen- tury proportions, which are, in fact, the ones that we can find today.

Nowadays, the collection has several pieces of specific note. The most peculiar is undoubtedly a fiasco dating back to 1600/1700. However, even some more recent ones, which can be placed between the 19th and the 20th century, also catch the interest of curious visitors who wish to grasp the peculiarities of this simple, essential object, which is both brilliant in function and elegant in design.
